21st Annual ROMP 2024 Initial Lineup Announced!
On June 26th-29th, 2024, ROMP Festival will be held at Yellow Creek Park, located in Owensboro, Kentucky. Set against a picturesque backdrop, the festival promises an unforgettable weekend of world-class performances, community spirit, and the timeless magic of bluegrass music. Produced by the Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame & Museum, the four-day music festival is a celebrated gathering of bluegrass and roots music enthusiasts, local artists, and healthy, farm-to-table food vendors. As a 501c3 nonprofit organization, the Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame & Museum presents ROMP Festival as its primary fundraising event.
Leading the charge as this year’s headliner is the multi-platinum artist and Grammy-nominated Dierks Bentley. Known for his chart-topping hits and captivating live shows, Dierks is letting his bluegrass roots show at ROMP Festival in 2024 showcasing why he is considered one of the most versatile artists in music today.  Joining Dierks Bentley on the lineup is a diverse array of top-tier talent.
This top-tier talent includes Molly Tuttle & Golden Highway, renowned for her extraordinary flatpicking skills and soulful vocals. Tuttle’s ensemble promises an engaging and spirited performance that blends traditional influences with a contemporary edge.
2024 also marks the opening of the Hall of Fame’s temporary exhibit titled Jerry Garcia – A Bluegrass Journey, so Leftover Salmon takes the ROMP main stage to highlight an important influence and to pay homage to the legacy of this iconic artist. Next on the lineup is The Travelin’ McCourys performing The Grateful Ball as they also celebrate the influence of Jerry Garcia on bluegrass music.
With unparalleled musicianship and an unwavering commitment to preserving the roots of bluegrass, the Earls of Leicester are sure to deliver a captivating live show that transports audiences back to the genre’s golden era. Joining them, dobro virtuoso and Grammy-winning artist Jerry Douglas, a living legend in the world of bluegrass and beyond, will be an artist-in-residence.  As a result, look for Jerry Douglas to sit in on various artists’ sets throughout the festival.   Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame member Peter Rowan is also a highlight of this year’s ROMP Festival lineup.
Collaboration brings together the Po’ Ramblin’ Boys, a high-energy bluegrass band celebrated for their traditional sound, and Jim Lauderdale, a prolific and Grammy-winning songwriter. Together, they promise a performance that seamlessly blends authenticity with contemporary songwriting.
Bringing a fresh and contemporary approach to the genre is East Nash Grass. The Sam Grisman Project will showcase a fusion of bluegrass, jazz, and beyond. IBMA award winning guitarist and vocalist Rick Faris will bring his brand of bluegrass to the ROMP stage. Known for his expressive picking and heartfelt vocals, he is sure to captivate the audience.

Presale tickets go on sale Tuesday, December 19th at midnight, and prices will increase on January 2nd. Four-day tickets are discounted at $175, and VIP tickets are available for $450 and include catered meals, air-conditioned restrooms, and prime stage views. Well now. On June 21 st -24, 2023, ROMP Festival will be held at Yellow Creek Park, located in Owensboro, Kentucky. Produced by the Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame & Museum, the four-day music festival celebrates bluegrass and roots music, local artists, and healthy, farm to table food vendors. Headliners of ROMP 2023 include the Old Crow Medicine Show, Hall of Fame Members Ricky Skaggs &
Kentucky Thunder, Sam Bush, and one of the Hall of Fames newest inductees Peter Rowan. Grammy-winning Rhonda Vincent is returning for the 20th annual ROMP Festival.

Also on the initial lineup, Molly Tuttle & Golden Highway with one of the most compelling new voices in the roots music world along with The Infamous Stringdusters, a band quickly establishing themselves at the front of the pack in the modern acoustic music landscape. Rounding out the initial lineup is Tuba Skinny, Henhouse Prowlers, Kitchen Dwellers, Slocan Ramblers, John R. Miller, Bill & The Belles, Stillhouse Junkies, Damn Tall Buildings, and Armchair Boogie.

Executive Director of the Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame & Museum, Chris Joslin comments, “ROMP Festival is the Hall of Fame’s signature event and an opportunity for our community to host people from around the country who make the pilgrimage to the Bluegrass Music Capital of the World. Fans sense there is something unique about bluegrass music in Owensboro, and this will be on full display in June. This is our 20 th year, and that kind of longevity and innovation is something to celebrate!”

Tickets are on sale now. In addition to 4-Day tickets, single day tickets, and VIP tickets are available. VIP includes catered meals, air-conditioned restrooms, and prime stage views.
