Welcome back to the house that Clayopheus built. With a framework hardened with the deep ,endless lunacy of Corporal Turner, this is where the road has taken you. The bells are tolling for Suwannee Hulaween and it lives in one place, the Spirit of Suwannee Music Park in sacred Live Oak, Florida. Welcome home weary traveler, Spirit Lake beckons to you. Come forth and find your truth. What do we really know after all? Welcome to the Suwannee Hulaween 2026 Final Lineup and Unique Particulars. Come wash off that stink.

Hulaween is prepared to officially complete its 2026 lineup with a final round of artist additions, further expanding a diverse bill set to take over Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park on October 22-25. Joining this year’s lineup is a variety of acts including KETTAMA, The Warren Haynes Incident, Frost Children (DJ Set), and Dean Turnley, alongside a special addition to EOTO’s performance featuring Scott Metzger (Joe Russo’s Almost Dead, LaMP) on Guitar and Kyle Hollingsworth (The String Cheese Incident) on Keys. You heard us right. This is what is coming down the pipe. Cheese. Love. Happiness.

KETTAMA adds one of dance music’s most in-demand names to the bill, bringing his signature blend of high-energy house, techno, and rave influences, while The Warren Haynes Incident further reinforces the festival’s deep connection to jam and improvisational music. The Incident will be a special Saturday night Shebang featuring songs of The Grateful Dead & Allman Brothers Band  who the latter Warren Haynes was a member of and hosted their own event at The Park for decades. A Frost Children (DJ Set) contributes their genre-blurring indie-pop & electronic style, with House music producer Dean Turnley who had one of 2026’s biggest breakout hits, Actin’ Tough. Last, EOTO & Friends special guests have been announced featuring members of JRAD and SCI, in a collaboration that continues Hulaween’s tradition of unique, Suwannee-exclusive moments bringing together artists across scenes and generations.

The additions arrive as the final chapter of Hulaween’s 2026 programming rollout, further strengthening a lineup that already includes Pretty Lights, My Morning Jacket, Excision, Geese, three nights of The String Cheese Incident, Of The Trees, Daily Bread, Green Velvet, Ben Böhmer, Big Gramatik (Big Gigantic & Gramatik), STS9, Levity, Crankdat, Hamdi, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, ¥ØU$UK€ ¥UK1MAT$U, and dozens more artists spanning electronic, jam, indie, funk, rock, and beyond.

Now entering its 13th year, Hulaween remains one of North America’s most celebrated destination festivals, blending world-class music programming with immersive art, camping, and community. Set within the sprawling forests and riverbanks of Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park, the festival has become synonymous with discovery, collaboration, and the kind of genre-spanning curation rarely found elsewhere in the festival landscape.

Further enhancing the programming, Hulaween 2026 will feature a series of curated artist-led takeovers, offering deeper, more immersive musical experiences across the weekend. Highlights include Green Velvet presents LaLaLand, Of The Trees’ Memory Palace, and the Def: Off Limits Stage, each bringing a distinct creative vision and atmosphere to the festival’s evolving landscape.

In addition to its expansive lineup, Hulaween 2026 introduces a series of elevated experiences and fan-first upgrades, reinforcing its commitment to evolving alongside its community. As a gesture to its loyal fanbase, 4-Day GA passes will be available starting as low as $469—over $75 less than 2025 pricing—reflecting the festival’s ongoing effort to prioritize accessibility and give back to the Hula Fam.

Fans can also look forward to the return of the Spirit Lake 360º Experience, restoring the fully immersive walking path around the lake in response to attendee feedback. Widely considered the heart of Hulaween, this enhancement allows for deeper exploration of the festival’s signature art environment.

Additional upgrades include expanded VIP offerings, such as a new dedicated gate connecting Meadow Field camping directly to festival grounds, the return of the River Road VIP Lounge entrance for improved access, and an increased shuttle program designed to reduce wait times and improve mobility across the park. VIP guests will also receive enhanced swag bags curated with essentials for a seamless festival weekend, alongside additional comfort and convenience upgrades throughout the experience.

For those seeking a more turnkey festival experience, Hulaween 2026 introduces new glamping and preset RV pass options, allowing attendees to arrive with their accommodations fully prepared. More information on pass types can be found here.

Widely regarded as one of the most immersive and community-driven festivals in North America, Hulaween continues to define the modern destination festival experience – blending music, art, and camping into a multi-day celebration rooted in connection, creativity, and place.

Set within Florida’s lush panhandle, the Spirit of the Suwannee offers a one-of-a-kind natural environment, where attendees can explore Spanish moss-draped forests, winding riverbanks, and expansive campgrounds throughout the weekend.

Held annually over Halloween, Hulaween has built a devoted following by transforming the park into a fully realized world of sound and imagination. By day, attendees wander forest trails, riverside camps, and interactive art installations; by night, the festival comes alive with large-scale production, genre-spanning performances, and late-night discovery.

Hulaween’s reputation for boundary-pushing, cross-genre curation remains central to its identity. Past editions have seamlessly brought together electronic, jam, indie, funk, and psychedelic artists, creating a space where diverse musical communities converge.

At the heart of the experience is Spirit Lake, Hulaween’s signature immersive art environment. Widely recognized as one of the most ambitious art experiences in the U.S. festival landscape, Spirit Lake features large-scale installations, projection mapping, interactive sculptures, and live performance art – delivering a fully sensory experience that extends far beyond the stage.

The Amphitheater Stage, nestled within dense forest and brought to life with custom production each year, has become a rite of passage for festivalgoers – a must-see, must-feel moment of the weekend.

More than just a music festival, Hulaween is a community gathering – one that prioritizes self-expression, collaboration, and shared experience. From elaborate costumes and themed campsites to sunrise sets and spontaneous moments throughout the grounds, the weekend is shaped as much by its attendees as by its programming.

With its return in 2026, Suwannee Hulaween continues to build on over a decade of cultural impact, reinforcing its place as a cornerstone of the U.S. festival circuit and a must-attend event for those seeking something deeper than a traditional festival experience.

Tickets are available now. For more information and to purchase, visit the official Hulaween website.

(Ed. note- The following is not a sponsored article. There’s no money. No hustle. Actually there’s never any money, but occasionally there can be tickets.) In this business, this is known as a freebie and it’s the nature of the beast. We share a belief in what’s happening here. Resonate has a nice beat and it’s easy to dance to. Something for everyone. As always, this party was sporting and over time, things got a mite loosey goosey. This is the bare bones, entirely full of pulp and profanity. Some decreed it a low water mark, others sang it’s praises. Not here for the short-term, they endeavored to persevere. Completely vested. Proceed at your own peril. Read it twice. Needle drop that please. Thrice you have offended.)

Like Lucy’s love making, the media hustle is rarely predictable or consistent. Occasionally, an outlet has to make the questionable choice of unteathering from the Wranglers and learn the hard truths that come with the moral and spiritual cleaving from the source. A sincere thank you for making us your number one outlet for festival tripe. Are you not influenced? Sometimes in this world, one has to spend money to make money. Or in this case, spend money to make no money. Not for prophet? Yes, Dirttrack Donnie, we still haven’t found a way to monetize the site. Lucienda Rosalita had finally paid the boatsman and figured she was going to get her moneys worth. It was a moral imperative. And she did, but not in the way she expected. And therein lies the rub. Suwannee. What you seek is not what you find. Or rather, you will get what you want, but not in the way you expect. Or maybe a bit too much. Welcome to Aladdin’s lamp. This is the theater of the mind. Open the door to the Suwannee Resonate “26 Freebie. Welcome to Kamp Severe Mental Illness, Kamp Cognitive Dysfunction, or Kamp Extreme Irrational Behavior. Kamp still working on the name. Welcome to thirteenth floor R&D. You get what you pay for.

Lucy shrieked at the idea of paying full price for the festival which was the first time in over five years she’d paid for anything other than Billy shows. Not that it mattered. Lucy and Bagosux arrived with no money and no contraband. They left with seventeen doll hairs. At some point they sold the Legend of Zelda print for twenty doll hairs and spent that on cheap cigarettes.  If Pedro had been here, just the space madness alone was worth three hundred bucks. They arrived Tuesday and would enjoy the fruits of the pre-party. Hopefully the old gypsy woman was full of shit and they could ignore her warning to not fall victim to hubris.

Part One, Dimentia. They had no contraband so he lost no contraband. The connection was easy to see. Others had misplaced their contraband even before the seat belt sign was turned off. Or cameras? Or bracelets? Or whatever…From where Lucienda perched, the parade of the festival traveled right past her stoop and she witnessed the same story on repeat with different actors.

She paid full price and so she was going to get her money’s worth. What did that even mean? She didn’t make it into the show. She hung out with the Gravedigger, who didn’t have a bracelet, like Ma and Pa Kettle, waiting for the boys to return from the Anzio bridgehead. All she wanted to do was sit in the dirt, play guitar songs and debate pertinent sociopolitical topics of the day.

Happy Birthday you son of a bitch. Noah acknowledged that he’d tried to fuck up his own birthday. During Clozzee he puked, pissed and cried. Wise beyond his years, he was aware that most times for your money you could only get one of those. Mississippi blue ribbon king of admonishment? When did Bible names come back en vogue? Not big enough to hold down the seats in the theater and also needed a big woman to help him open the doors at the Hoggly Woggly. He was somehow maintaining and exceeding expectations with no shoes, no guitar and a face layered with a rich crust of diatomaceous earth, drug residue and expired ejaculate.

Lesson number forty two. Lucy learned the hard way: Don’t allow your mind to be folded into concentric origami shapes, lost in a soup of primordial memories and sour ugliness during working hours. Save that for the homies and the late night session. The worst version of air.

Part Two, Schizophrenia. She closed her eyes and played guitar, strangely happy that she was partially deaf. She had no idea what was going on around him. Selective hearing? Selective sanity? Wisconsin Lindsey moved in at some point. “Mind I if encroach?” I’m from Wisconsin. We eat people. Shadow people. For some time she had been voluntarily trying to have herself trafficked and as far unsuccessful, she was beginning to fear that perhaps Arabs didn’t find her attractive. Like her mother always said, maybe she was ugly. She did, however know all the words to Rob Zombie’s “Living Dead Girl” at the request happy hour.

At some point during the affair, people, all the people began losing things. Mostly phones but also drugs and bracelets. It was Shakespearian theater in how often it was happening. All around in a vortex of retarded confusion, everyone asking for help, somehow commandeering the group to search for their, whatever. My back is broken so I am unable to pick up the film canister of my grandfather’s ashes. Do I smell like a hot back brace? It’s really too stupid to be fiction.

Lucy went inside the venue one time, only to make fun of the Dick that is Crystal. Can you make change for a counterfeit ten-thousand dollar bill? Fugazi or not, it was supposed to be filled with cocaine. That was the whole point. In the end, what have we learned? When you lie down with dogs you get fleas. What do you expect to find down in a pig mine? Who had said the Danimal was “disarmingly charming”? Her only job had been to take him a twenty dollar bill sprinkled with Detroit dry wall. Disarmingly charming? How about NO. Crystal Dicks. Danimal sounds like a yogurt tube drink. To be fair, he believed the White Ninja when he said he would “return” with a twelve pack of Twisted Teas. That was his second mistake, right after being born looking like Timber. Kamp Passive Aggressive Daddy Issues?

Shoe Horn. Free Jello shots and childhood nightmares. Guy actually helped his neighbors appear “classy?” by having the megaphone next door. The spectrum of obnoxious had shifted and they were playing par golf. It’s special when neighbors can compliment each other and work in tandem. Lucy had never heard of someone who actually enjoyed being electrocuted. What kind of animal would that look like? The Shoe was the answer to the question, “What would happen to a man who got zapped by the cop prod?” Would he pass out and shit himself or simply shake it off and bring a mighty force to bear? Serious questions that needed to be answered and the Shoe Horn was just the savage to do it. He took two shots to the forearm and bucked with a disconcerting ease. By the end of the festival, the zapper came up missing and that’s likely for the best. Suwannee deputies or shock therapy? The choice is yours.

Part Three, Delusion. Why didn’t you help me when that girl was screaming at me? From where she was sitting, lots of people seemed to be hollaring at eat other. And besides, everyone knows the Gravedigger is a raging lunatic. To fight that one you might as well run backwards into the bulls of Pamplona. And besides, she was busy with Space Cake trying to figure out why the lights had gone out in Georgia.

Bagman noticed that everyone was getting worked over by the forest. The insides were coming outside. Lucy rarely left camp so from her perspective, the festival was ripping by like a Mardi Gras parade. And there were patterns. Things that kept happening over and again, just with different people. Great fun to be sure, but each person though their crisis was unique and spectacular and in the universe of confusion, theater of the mind, it may have been but it was also just really just extradoriily goofy.

Kamp Happiness does not stick the landing. Sometime late Friday night, they heard female screams from next door. Lucy didn’t think they were coming from Shoe’s place. I mean, what kind of girls would go there. Don’t worry, she thinks purple lips are sexy. Two for ten? Old people prices. It was just girls shrieking at each other, which was common enough in mixed circles but Hobo Kamp typically does a reasonable job of avoiding those unfortunate episodes. Apparently, this time. Some time late Saturday night there became some kind of social collapse and females in the kamp began losing their shit on each other. When exactly did everyone lose control? I’m thinking it’s the guy from Wormtown but who really knows? We come to the forest for answers and sometimes she barks, “You can’t handle the truth!”

Lucy woke up to a series of rumors about herself. She’d been busy, apparently involved in a narrative involving a stolen camera, she’d dressed like a transvestite, an although not the perferred vernacular, the Kamp Haappiness has a rotating membership. Many people have decided not to live in the portal, but rather back up a pitching wedge or nine iron. Real talk. We bring plenty of thugs in the kamp and it gets a little slickery. With most of these admitted reprobates, you get the good with the bad. You think Hemmingway or Bukowski didn’t get “sporting” from time to time? Hard yes. Grow up. It comes with the territory. You bought a ticket, might as well see the show.

Lucy walked out of her campsite and sitting in the middle of the street, right up her skirt were two Suwannee Sherrifs SUVs. They seemed extra close. Whoever they were looking for was close. In seconds, the two vehicles morphed into five. The last time anyone had seen this Christopher Michael Sommers went to jail. Lucy immediately checked her pockets for contraband and found none. She considered her kamp and vehicle and whether they would pass the test if combed by Deputies or their drug dogs. Again, it was comforting to have so little and so little to care for. Lucy woke up Sunday to a virtual armada of Suwannee deputies parked right up her skirt. From their spot on the dance floor, they could see all the way to Argentina. Kamp sketch as fuck? Kamp bench warrant? Kamp panic attack? I smell a hit.

Part Four, Neurosis. Lucy was handing out nitrous balloons with Baitbucket breath. She was confessing to others as they sucked old CO2 and still they sucked. Obviously we cannot guarantee your safety. Look around. Toys in the attic. Have you seen this place? Serious thugs slither through these camps. All of these women are on medication for a good reason. Normal people can be tedious. The audacity! Show up with this cattle car of psychosis and there is usually very little “dead air”. Free psychiatric advice. Your first session is free.

You have entered the unsoundness of the mind. Lucy had suffered terrifying visions. Doing experimental drugs in the middle of the day? Poor form ol boy. Learning the same lesson for the thirteenth time. Thrice you have offended me. Apologies would be in order.

Pirate Dreams at Suwannee Resonate 2026. Photo by Capt. Beefcake.

Real talk. They said stay off the trails at Manatee Springs. High tick count? Bruh. She was a cracker and claimed to know how to handle Florida critters, but…in…this…case. they were right. Holy shit. Ticks. Ticks aplenty. She managed to rip the bodies out of her flesh, but somehow left the poison head. Lyme’s disease is no excuse for insanity and it’s not cool when Jehovah’s Witness trap their neighbors.

Screaming at each other. Arguing during load-out. Gay. Serotonin Sunday? It felt like a rerun of a sitcom that didn’t stand the test of time. Unfortunate scores from the Canadian judge as Kamp Happiness does not stick the landing. Turned ankle? More like snapped in half. Lucy was somewhat surprised that folks were registering, as if for the first time, that she was an unreasonable asshole. She shrieked, “I’ve been one since the day we met.” Get the memo. Complete douche and an animal product not for human consumption. Me no hear. I can’t people. Broken like the liberty bell. As she woke up on Sunday, she found she’d been busy, somehow involved in a narrative involving a stolen camera, dressing like a transvestite, and while not the preferred vernacular, the real question was whether she was just cross dressing or actually removing her penis. Other reports included pulling a switchblade on an unsuspecting patron, which was highly likely as she was apt to be handling pirate tools. She had managed to stay out of the brown liquor and kept free of roaming brown outs. Talk about the sparrows flying.

Band on the Run. Stevie Nicks and the Mighty Quinn were screwing in the tent when some lonely fraternity boy shouted from his tent, “Take it to the car.” The truth is that we love the bleating of sweet love making in the forest. Yes, Paul and Linda did hire mercenaries to bust them out of a Nigerian jail. One hears a great many strange and unusual things in the wilderness. He thought everyone was supposed to camp around the same fire but maybe fires have a carrying capacity. Sideways insanity also offers a chance for friends to get to know each other better, reset boundaries and learn to love harder.

She had sores everywhere where the tick heads were still pumping their poison juice into her brain. Maybe she already had Lyme’s disease. Maybe that’s what made her crazy. Finally something was making sense. That math mathed. Visit the Suwannee Resonate website and like their social media sites on Facebook, Instagram and X. The math checks out. Measure twice, cut once.

He was glad his phone had been disconnected. He wouldn’t have to listen to how he’d ruined the weekend for everyone. I can’t people. We lost a lot of good men out there today. You can’t fire me. I quit. This is your brain on shrugs. Any questions? What did we learn? You have to believe in what you’re doing, especially when you suspect you may just be full of absolute shit. Like Sam Clemens said, “Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it is time to reform (or pause and reflect).” It was hard for Lucienda to accept full blame, after all, her mother hadn’t breast fed her, so all blame eventually spiraled back to that original neglect. The following week, she would be at Jazz Fest in the bowels of the Crescent City, a framework which would come with its own new set of perimeters and legal questions.

Follow the Wranglers as the Hobo Kamp security force attacks the summer tour with Mountain Music Festival, FloydFest and Jimmy Hoboken’s Fancy Tool Table. This is the eye of the slurricane. Don’t mix tranquilizers and whiskey.

Callooh callay oh frabjous day, Oteil and Friends are returning to Suwannee for Roots Reunion in October 2025. Call the powers that be and inform them you are going to be f’sho busy that weekend. All roads lead to Live Oak. This lineup boasts many of the legendary Suwannee standards such as Peter Rowan, Jon Stickley, Nikki Talley, The Ain’t Sisters and more with the return of Oteil and the extra slice of hippy magic he brings to any production. Join the Wranglers Ten Year Anniversary Tour as we celebrate our twenty-third season at the world’s greatest camping/music venue.

Suwannee Roots Revival takes place Thursday, October 9 through Sunday, October 12 at the renowned Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park (SOSMP) in Live Oak, Florida. Fostering the longtime tradition of hosting some of the most prominent names in American roots music and beyond, this four-day camping family-friendly music festival includes camping, music workshops, kids’ activities, arts & crafts, and daily yoga.

Nestled in 800 acres of gorgeous Spanish moss-draped oak and cypress trees along the Suwannee River in northern Florida, Suwannee Roots Revival celebrates community-based fun, growing friendships, laughing families, and the joy you get from making memories with friends old and new.The festival is thrilled to announce the 2025 lineup, which includes Oteil & Friends (featuring Melvin Seals, Steve Kimock, Jason Crosby, Johnny Kimock, Tom Guarna & Lamar Williams Jr.), Yonder Mountain String Band, Donna the Buffalo (all 4 days), Peter Rowan & The Walls of Time Band, Jim Lauderdale & The Game Changers, Della Mae, Seth Walker, Henhouse Prowlers, Walter Parks & The Unlawful Assembly, Ain’t Sisters, Jon Stickley Trio, The Lee Boys, John Mailander’s Forecast (as well as Mailander being Artist at Large), and more!
Suwannee Roots Revival focuses on showcasing established and emerging roots musicians throughout the weekend.  The lineup includes performers with long histories of epic Suwannee performances along with a history of showcasing some surprise one-of-a-kind collaborations—you never know who will give a surprise sit-in on stage (or in the campgrounds for that matter). There is an open call to play in the many campground pickin’ party sites throughout the weekend, including at Slopryland, hosted by Sloppy Joe, and the Bill Monroe Shrine, hosted by Quartermoon. With many acts playing multiple times, music will be staged in a variety of areas, including the newly renamed Big Cosmo’s Amphitheater, Dance Tent, Music Hall, and the Music Farmers Stage at The Back Porch.

Ain’t Sisters: Photo by Jay Strausser Visuals.

Big Cosmo’s Amphitheater is nestled in a tree-filled natural amphitheater, adding to the magic through the beautiful setting. The Dance Tent is a fantastic spot to immerse yourself in the music and, new to this year, has been relocated a bit closer to the Vendor Village for added convenience! The Music Hall remains an excellent spot for special indoor listening experiences with stage lighting, air conditioning, and a cafe.

Suwannee Roots Revival is excited about the new Music Farmers Stage at The Back Porch—a “VIP section for everyone.” This new music area debuted at Roots’s sister festival, Suwannee Spring Reunion, which takes place in March. The Back Porch (formerly backstage of The Porch Stage) will be open from the start of the music until the end of each night’s performances, providing plenty of seating options for relaxation, food from delicious vendors nearby, and live video feeds from Big Cosmo’s Amphitheater to ensure you don’t miss any of the action. It will have a full bar set up, and many interesting vending selections nearby.

Special performances will take place at The Back Porch during the evening. The Music Farmers Stage’s new location inside the former Porch Stage building, is a bigger and more comfortable location to host a wide range of hand-on workshops. The Music Farmers Stage is sponsored by the festival’s nonprofit arm, Live Oak Music and Arts Foundation (LOMAF). A raffle with a variety of prizes donated by festival merchants, artists, and sponsors will be held on-site located at a tent at the top of the hill at Big Cosmo’s Amphitheater. It will benefit LOMAF to support music and arts programs in North Florida schools, including the Suwannee Spirit Kids Music Camp. The Vendor Village will feature a diverse range of arts and crafts, as well as culinary delights ranging from healthy to decadent. The park itself is a place where children of all ages can rediscover (or discover for the first time) why they fell in love with the Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park’s magical mixture of sights, sounds, and sensations that make for a weekend of paradise.
Jon Stickely Trio.

Jam and Toast, a North Carolina-based music publication, came to Suwannee Roots Revival’s sister event, Suwannee Spring Reunion, for the first time ever at SOSMP, and Thomas Beck writes, “Spanish moss hangs from century-old oaks like confetti, swaying gently in the Florida breeze. When the daytime music recedes, early risers set out on riverside trails for peaceful morning hikes. At night, neon lights dance through the campgrounds and trees, making the forest look otherworldly with glowing projections on the foliage. It’s the ultimate blend of natural beauty and modern festival flair.”

The Spanish moss-draped oak and cypress trees provided a rich environment to capture a series of sessions on the festival grounds in the ‘Alan Lomax field recording’ style. 2024 was a tough year for the Suwannee community after losing festival co-founder Randy ‘Big Cosmo’ Judy, who passed away in spring 2024, and having to cancel the 2024 Suwannee Roots Revival due to Hurricane Helene. But festival director Beth Judy brought the festival roaring back into fighting shape in 2025, hosting a massive 4-day party across half a dozen stages, late night campground pickin’ parties (looking at you, Slopryland!), kicking off the weekend with Big Cosmo’s Celebration of Life.”

Welcome, weary traveler to Sunnyside 143B. Not to be confused with 143A. Come in and sit a spell. Thank you for sharing the space. Between the pulp, fake news and amateur porn, there’s hardly enough hours in the day to absorb all the available interweb gibberish. Hopefully, this is still mostly some version of the classy trashy. Mostly. Ever bridging the gap between the bourgeoisie and the proletariat. One fire. Same as it ever was.

This is just a simple recollection of the past year, honest and littered with disparages. Still decorated with bleached, plastic flowers not stolen from a cemetery. Relax Francis. Not that you remember, but you were there. They say no two people remember an event exactly the same. It’s so easy to slip. But are we beating a dead horse? Are you what the fellas on Beech Mountain call a one trick pony? Sit back, dear reader and let yourself sail back to 2024 and like Drunkle Clayopheus said, “figure what needs figurin’.” Don’t worry little missie, there are no tiles allowed on this ride. Your map slave is working upside down and you’re still lost. It’s safe and no one knows where you are. It might even be time for you to not know where you are. It’s the 2024 Year in Review: Geolocation Disabled.

Are you lost? Do you want to be? Have you been found? Thankfully. For the lucky ones, it was another year of breathing free air and for a few, the debt had been paid. For others, the grinding of the gears was just beginning. Don’t you think you’ve paid the boatman enough? To hell with that guy. There were those who roped in thugs from the shadow places. Like Ma Roux said, “Collect the little dabs of dried toothpaste they leave in your sink and serve them back as wedding breath mints.” Welcome to the high vibration. It wasn’t that I mind if anyone was tracking my movements, but it seemed like a serious misallocation of company resources. What happened to our pension fund? For as long as I could remember, I’d been hoping someone would steal my identity, but the obvious question is why anyone would want to?

It was a year of branching out with new family and strengthening old bonds. The camp was now littered with admitted degenerates with no regard for the old ways. But there was something unusual in the stale, sandy pizza they served. Their sand had a different texture. Like the silky-smooth grit of diatamaceous earth as it removes the unwanted leftovers from your gullet. It was Black Warrior who, in 1890 asked, “Who could hold on to the wind from a burning teepee or dumpster?”

S. Jones had learned to wear cut off shorts in certain situations as a type of litmus test. Job interview, courtroom, first date. Or combined with the Waffle House first date. Waffle House in cutoff shorts and if she comes back for another, take her to the Bubble Room. Game on. Mistakes had been made. At least two times he’d gotten drunk on rum and discussed religion and abortion with his mum. Never a great starting point between a heathen and believer. So what if he wasn’t washed in the blood. He didn’t care if he and his sister weren’t able to join her in the great reward and her confession of regret and failure as a mother was a serious bummer. Moderately heavy shit for a Friday night. How’s about we just watch a Hallmark Christmas show and fall asleep in our ice cream.

Vibra Urbana in Miami got things started and the escalation came, as always with Suwannee Roots Revival and some harsh megaphone opinions from the wrecking crew.

Lacking in all the usual luster. The ladies harvested in unwashed at Resonate while Ka’aoli reallocated his own short bus of idiotas and steered for Austin, Texas and the complete totality of inappropriate delusions. His hypothesis involved measurable electrons charging his tan starfish within a fixed location on the flat part of the Earth. Oh yeah, also within the snow globe of the firmament. Like weather manipulation, sciencey. The cosmogony is yours. Pedro’s Cabinet of Expired Narcotics hosted Hobo Kamp for Suwannee Resonate and the failure to appear summons along with the restraining orders have been referred to KH legal team. 888-888-8888. Ask for Ka’aoli.

Just the protips. Gaylord, Lord of the Gays didn’t support genital mutilations and among his staunchest suggestions was not to order calamari in the Vatican. Dirty bird was seen eating vermin in Panajachel. Don’t look now but science has caught up with you. It might be time to consider a circumcision reversal. And when considering a hunting dog, know that Black Labrador Retrievers will not eat their owners after death. Somewhere along the way the crew had time to work Shaky Knees, Hangout, Bonnaroo, Oceans Calling and who can remember what else. Half of the time the Buick was in the shop, the other half of the time it was being used to make money for the most recent or next repair.

They called Summer Camp by another name but just about everything else was the same. Sporting, to be sure. Pedro’s closet of regrets took its spot in the dark of the forest. No one sees the outside from the deep shadows within. The stages, bars and whatever else is great at Summer Camp, but the forest is where the magik happens. Thank you for allowing the monkeys to take over the insane asylum. Even after leaving her self-respect in a cardboard box at Lost and Found and absorbing the curiosities that ride shotgun alongside the “hard goodbye”, there is safety within its boughs. It’s all fun and games until someone whispers that your buddy is a cop. Hard meow? Turn to page 47 if you want to keep riding this bus.

It was a time to be thankful for friends. They had leveled some moderately serious allegations in her direction but her friends were stalwart in their devotions. She’d seen strong families cleave themselves from each other for money, divorce, whatever. Houses built on sand. She found it empowering to collect new cousins into her lineage even as she was being collected into other houses. Planned marriages. Extending kingdoms. The petri dish in full effect.

Stolen identities and poorly trained professional astronauts at Mountain Music Festival? Astro-not on my watch. Never boring and surprisingly intimate, the Iceman hoodwinked his way into MMF at Ace Adventure Resort in the middle of New River Gorge, West Virginia. Who is in charge of security when this guy can slither in as a media corespondent? Jedi wook mind trick. All truths aside, that type of animal has cut their teeth sneaking into Phish shows even before their tits have fallen off. One of the obvious benefits of the methamphetamine lifestyle is it allows the user to be skinny enough to sneak through the fence into the VIPness. Mountain glory at its best. Look for the B team on the beer taps. More than one free beer? Code Red? We don’t need no badges.

In the dojo of a thousand lost memories, many thanks to Maso the forlorn. Next time it will be the wisdom teeth. Watch the six old boy, but I digress, some of these polices are best kept close to the vest. In a mire of drunken confusion they’d left Ocean City with a greater understanding of how sweet Thai chili sauce can be used to compliment jalapeno poppers.

Electric Forest Music Festival 2024. Photo by Jason Nail

In what has become a cornerstone of the summer work loop, EForest showed the lessons that only General Admission can offer. Pirate flags, code reds and human test apes were the order of the day and Pedro resented the muddiest Ortiz Flea Market version of the truth. Team B made camp in the Cherry Orchard with what the old folks refer to as “higher stock”.

You are encouraged to join the happy space of the snappy repertoire. Don’t worry baby, the buck stops here. Welcome to the cul-de-sac of blame. Or what your people call responsibility. Don’t worry, PTSD is not just for soldiers anymore and at the turn of the millennia, Indians litter just as much as anyone. Don’t cry for me Argentina.

Maso, WAR CHILE, FloydFest 2024. Photo by Jason Nail.

FloydFest. As we found our footing on the new mountain, so did the festival find its footing on us. Like a tiny Vietnamese woman walking down your back in high heels. At times serving as non-examples and at others, the key that opens all doors. Well within the learning curve. Everything is being revealed, grasshopper. Thanks always to the FF family for being consistent which is meant as the greatest compliment in terms of both their insanity and work ethic. The great ones find ways to make it easier for everyone. Less talk, more rock.

Mondegreen. Trey Sees Me. The best surprise of the year and Lucy’s first Phish festival. Maso continued to lay down the Phish funk from the jukebox in Ocean City, Maryland until the old people started giving him the side eye. Knots of light pulling the body in contorted directions. At least he didn’t feel like an interloper as he slept in the front of Mason’s van, which reeked of wet shoes, bad chicken and stale urine.

Mondegreen 2024. Photo by the artist formerly known as Jason Nail

Thieves stealing from thieves. How do legit hoodlums spend their time? They spent most nights at Gatsby’s enjoying live music, private shows under the stoop and loose fun in the guest house. Please shower before entering the pool. Dover is f’sho down with hood rat shit. Look for the guy on the tiny motorcycle. Loose lips sink ships. Choices had been made. Lucy was almost too sideways to work and the chickens were coming home to roost. Some headlines are best left unpublished.

Another year has come and gone. 2024 had as much as action and spunk as any prior. People were still busy about with their personal stuff and still no one wanted to hear any advice from anyone else. Nobody was overly thrilled to hear your story about “getting high at the show”. In earlier generations, intelligence was equated with the ability to listen. Not be confused with the inability to contribute. The man who could actively listen without interrupting might often be considered intelligent, without having to say a word. I’m trying to learn to stay out of my own way. It’s been said, “If someone else tried to kick my ass as much as I do, boy I would be in trouble.”

It’s Daryl’s fault. Lucy still had larval seed ticks feeding on the capillaries around the corner of her eyes. The original harvest had not all been eradicated and the second generation of arichnae were now living comfortably on and in her epidermis. When you lie down with dogs, you get fleas. Hashtag truth.

Alley Kat’s Live Radio Show, Suwannee Hulaween 2024.

Hulaween continues to morph into something particularly otherworldly as, over the years, we work on the building. The Hulaween wedding of the year is still just like taking sand to the beach. Fake weddings in Florida are just as hot as real weddings. So you’re saying I’m not really a homewrecker? Heckfire, by the end of the day I might not even be a bad son or a dead-beat dad. Oh, how the tables have turned. Who knew? If you live long enough you get to receive all the free cars. Check the math.

Where is TooMuch?

Keep up with Wranglers Media as we steer straight into 2025 and the ten-year anniversary tour as internet media moguls. Thanks for making us one of the cornerstones of the modern etherweb. Plan A is still in effect. No artificial intelligence, real news or monetizing but ample amounts of sideways fun and increased color. Join us as we surrender freedom in the name of security. The train leaves the station soon. Git on board and join the wook wranglers ten year anniversary tour. The singularity. Ceptin’ now Mona the Adventurer is in charge so be careful what you wish for, you just might get it. Welcome to the highest vibration. Needle drop that shit. Geolocation Disabled. And don’t worry, although I did throw your tile out of the window, you should have no trouble finding it on the side of the interstate.

For Brian. Kamp Happiness pocket guitar.

The Atlanta-based event production entity DEF has made a name for itself as a fully independent, women-led team dedicated to creating unforgettable experiences with musical legends and up-and-comers alike. They’ve put on shows across the genre spectrum with artists such as Sara LandryISOxoOf The TreesDr. Fresch, and many more.

Hulaween is similarly proud of its status as a fully-independent, genre-blending event, and it is excited to join creative forces with a company that is so philosophically aligned – and who are also long-time friends and patrons of the legendary festival. Together, they will underscore each other’s commitments to fostering community and celebrating artistic expression amidst the magical backdrop of Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park.

Since Hulaween’s inception in 2013, the Halloween-themed music, arts, and camping festival has evolved into one of the country’s most coveted cross-genre affairs. Over the course of the past decade, Hulaween has hosted a plethora of genre-crossing artists at the Spirit of the Suwannee’s idyllic grounds, which serves as the perfect setting for attendees to fully immerse themselves in Florida’s lush, enrapturing nature.

As always, May is heating up and Memorial Day weekend is getting thicker with delicious choices. The String Cheese Incident will headline CaveJam, a new 3-day, multi-stage camping festival at The Caverns in 2024 over Memorial Day Weekend, May 24-26. During the festival, The String Cheese Incident will play two nights with three sets above ground and one special set inside The Caverns world-renowned subterranean venue. All told, the festival will see 20 artists and bands on its stages above and below ground. There’s lots to unpack here.

“CaveJam is a new signature festival at The Caverns and builds on everything we’ve learned from two successful years producing many festivals here,” says Joe Lurgio, The Caverns General Manager. “CaveJam gives festival enthusiasts a new reason—and a new season—to visit us in Tennessee.”

CaveJam will offer a variety of VIP glamping options in addition to everything else that makes The Caverns such a unique destination venue, from otherworldly cave tours and a spacious campground with a vibrant vendor alley to the stunning views surrounding the venue’s outdoor amphitheater where guests can spread out, dance, savor food truck fare, and enjoy the music. And of course, the crown jewel of The Caverns experience remains seeing live music inside a beautiful cave.

Admission to The String Cheese Incident’s special late night cave set is included and guaranteed with a VIP package purchase. Given the underground venue’s limited capacity, a limited number of 3-day passes are available that include access to this epic underground set Sunday evening.

In addition to The String Cheese Incident, the full CaveJam line-up includes Devon Gilfillian, Dopapod, Dumpstaphunk, Karina Rykman, Keller Williams, LP Giobbi: Dead House Set, Mo Lowda & The Humble, Neighbor, Pimps of Joytime, Pink Talking Fish, Space Bacon, Spafford, Susto, The Vegabonds, Barefuzz, BERTHA: Grateful Drag, Easy Honey, LadyCouch, and Love Rat.

CaveJam tickets start as low as $99. What’s more, with as little as $25 down, guests can start a payment plan for their festival tickets. Sign-ups are now underway for a venue pre-sale that begins on Wednesday, December 6th at Noon CT – sign up here. The general public on sale begins Friday, December 8th at Noon CT, visit ticket page.

CaveJam attendees can choose from an array of on-site accommodations designed to cater to various preferences. At the top end, there’s The Caverns secluded yurt village with 20 climate-controlled yurts, each appointed with a king size bed, private bathroom, kitchenette, and private deck. For the first time at The Caverns, a new glamping option has been added: Stay in a luxury, canvas bell tent equipped with a queen or two twin beds, bedding, bistro table and chairs, and more. For those looking for the VIP experience on a smaller budget, pre-pitched VIP tents with cots, canopies and lights will also be offered. And of course, RV and car camping passes will be available.

All VIP packages include access to all three festival days events, guaranteed access to The String Cheese Incident’s late night cave set, multiple VIP viewing areas, catered brunches and dinners, VIP restroom trailers and showers in a VIP Village, exclusive VIP restroom trailer in amphitheater, private cash bar with daily discounted Happy Hours, access to charging stations, free chair massages, free early access to campgrounds, and VIP concierges onsite to ensure the experience is unforgettable.

For the best access to VIP packages and The String Cheese Incident’s late night cave set, guests are encouraged to get their tickets and accommodations early for CaveJam at The Caverns in Grundy County, Tennessee.

Get ready wranglers for Suwannee Hulaween to celebrate the festival’s tenth anniversary with a historic, genre-bending lineup that promises to pull your face free of the bone. Following a five-year hiatus, electro-soul pioneer Pretty Lights will headline Hulaween as his only East Coast festival performance on the Soundship Spacesystem Tour. Other headliners include festival originators The String Cheese Incident, Trey Anastasio Band, Goose, Rainbow Kitten Surprise, John Summit, Elderbrook, Big Wild, Channel Tres, Les Claypool’s Fearless Flying Frog Brigade, Joe Russo’s Almost Dead, Smino, Dispatch, and one special band headliner to be announced. This magical madness will return Thursday, October 26 – Sunday, October 29, 2023 at Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park in Live Oak, Florida. Oh mah goodness. This is the Hulaween Tenth Anniversary Family Reunion. This is where the rubber meets the road.

Hulaween is one of the last truly-independent, large-scale music festivals thriving amongst today’s corporatized concert landscape, and after selling out its last five editions (and already almost 80% sold out for this year’s event), the festival is commemorating a decade of success with its most impressive lineup yet.

For the wook wranglers and Kamp Happiness, this is truly one of the cornerstones of the festival year. Ghosts of Fooboo and the Roanoke mafioso still walk the hallowed forest of Live Oak waiting for the base to shake the leaves off the trees. Join the Hobo Kamp trap house for a week-long full schedule of music, activities and greasy fun. This year they will be teaming up with Lil D Big Arel and Cheese. Love. Sauce. with the Titty Kitties for a block party not witnessed since the days of the pharisees. Follow your dreams and join the ruckus in the shade of the Suwannee farm field.

Tickets on sale now right here.

“The festival and concert industry landscape continues to be bought up and homogenized by the majors, so staying the course as true independents and surviving through all of the highs and lows we’ve endured to this milestone 10 year anniversary, is incredible. We think back fondly of all the people who have been part of the Hula journey with us, and how the team continues to learn and grow to elevate the experience and lineup every year. We’ve proudly stayed true to this community and culture we are servicing and hope to keep doing that for at least another 10!” – Michael Berg, Co-Founder, Brand Manager, & Talent Buyer for Hulaween

Hulaween is one of the last truly-independent, large-scale music festivals thriving amongst today’s corporatized concert landscape, and after selling out its last five editions, the festival is commemorating a decade of success with its most impressive lineup yet.

Following a five-year hiatus, electro-soul pioneer Pretty Lights will headline Hulaween as his only East Coast festival performance on his Soundship Spacesystem Tour. It’s been nearly two decades since Pretty Lights started originating his signature, sample-heavy sounds that redefined America’s electronic music scene, and his exclusive East Coast festival set at Hulaween promises to showcase vibrant, bass-fueled sounds to the festival’s feverish audience.

Known globally for his playful demeanor and rip-roaring sets, tech-house maestro John Summit marks another Hulaween headliner. The Beatport chart-shredder will host Hulaween’s first-ever takeover by Off The Grid, Summit’s party-starting imprint, which will offer up sets by label favorites famed for igniting dance floors.

Other electronic music heavyweights headlining Hulaween include Grammy-nominated multi-instrumentalist/producer Elderbrook, producer polymath Big Wild, and revered house producer/vocalist Channel Tres.

On the jam side of the lineup, Hulaween founders The String Cheese Incident will serve up three nights of headlining performances. Phish-offshoot Trey Anastasio Band and critically-acclaimed indie-jam five piece Goose will play consecutive sets on the same night, following their joint tour across the North East last fall. Other headlining bands include Hulaween staple Joe Russo’s Almost Dead (2 sets), the Hulaween debut of Les Claypool’s Fearless Flying Frog Brigade, and legendary roots-rock outfit Dispatch.

Hulaween will also welcome neo-soul rapper Smino as the festival’s sole hip-hop headliner, as well as a headlining set by five-piece indie rock band Mt. Joy. One additional band headliner remains yet to be announced, coming later in April.

The festival will present a bevy of in-demand, electronic music support acts, including Montreal producer BLOND:ISH, underground bass purveyor Eprom, multi-faceted Italian DJ/producer duo Gioli & Assia, ascendent bass producer ISOxo, genre-bending producer Manic Focus, ascendent trailblazer Moore Kismet, bass-focused producer supergroup Lab Group, and future-funk maestro Yung Bae.

Staying true to its band-focused roots, Hulaween will boast a medley of celebrated acts including funk-fusion ensemble Lettuce, funk-jam group Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, and critically-acclaimed, Anatolian rock/Turkish psychedelic folk outfit Altin Gün.

The Kitties (meow) Suwannee Hulaween

The Hulaween 2023 lineup is brimming with more than 90 acts that cover all corners of the dance floor. Over the course of the past decade, Hulaween has hosted a plethora of genre-crossing artists the Spirit of the Suwannee’s idyllic grounds, which serves as perfect setting for attendees to fully immerse themselves in Florida’s lush, enchanting nature.

Hulaween’s Spirit Lake is heralded as one of the leading immersive art experiences across American festivals, brimming with talented sculptors, fire/metal workers, painters, thespians, and lighting designers. Attendees can revel in lakefront projection mapping, hypnotizing light shows, interactive installations, and both visual and performance art, catch performances at Spirit Lake’s two stages, and groove into sunrise at the Silent Disco.

What’s happenin’ Captain? Welcome back to Manchester, Tennessee and the de evolution of the human condition. according to Ka’aoli the wise. In the unwritten parchment of the Bonnaroovian Chronicles the prophet Ka’aoli would predict that somewhere near Rutledge Falls a curvy lady would find a stagehand sexy only because he had a hammock hung under The What Stage. These are certainly strange times and In a world of pain and strife the 2023 festival season continues to improve with each subsequent line up drop. The hits just keep coming and there’s nowhere left to hide. Bonnaroo brings another year of slam-dunk, eclectic across the board music and fun with this year’s promise of the extreme. It’s the Bonnaroo “23: Join the Fray. It’s the season of the wook.

It was a brief but bright run for Lucy and the Iceman last year as they skirted the finest of lines between festival staff superstars and criminal degenerate reprobates. There was a lost computer and some pitifully sad, waffle-stompin’ goodness but the overall vibe was one of powerful, energetic, collaborative good times. There’s plenty of ground to cover and after you’ve made the trip around Outeroo, things will never be the same.        And maybe that’s not a bad thing.

And there was something about hearing Little Feat songs. Celebrating Waiting For Columbus? Yes please. Good times. And Andy Frasco? What is this absolute fresh hell of which you speak? He’s the sanest one in that band and a complete dumpster fire. Who remembers that Sunday FloydFest show after the rain? Yaaaa. Crazy people are lively and fun. En route to the Roanoke airport, Andy and Casey attempted to subdue the driver and steal the artist transpo van. That is a true but unprovable fact.

Tickets still available for Rooster Walk 12. Memorial Day. Check out the VIP shit as well. The guys that run it are complete Virginia trash and do a first-class job. Impossible to even look at them without laughing.

“Soon as I get home, first thing I’m gonna do is punch yo mama right in the mouth.”

Don’t forget your compression socks. Call Steve Little for further information. World’s worst Lockn’ ambassador? You be the judge.

Visit the Rooster Walk website and like their social media sites on Facebook and Instagram. Keep up with the interweb. The future is now.

This article has been sponsored by the truck with the Carolina squat or the Tennessee tilt. Thanks Roy Cooper. Keep up with the wranglers as we try to find some kind of job at Okeechobee. Whatever. Florida festival season continues with Tommy Thermometer and Grassroots at Virginia Key, and a Suwannee season that promises to break the dyke. Brainquility, Rising, Spring, Resonate and the Tipper show should be enough to tip the scales. That is a hoot nanny of a party.

See you on the mountain. Pocket knives don’t start EZ-Go golf carts.
