Gem & Jam Festival “24 Updates

Welcome back to Kamp Happiness and the wrangler rock hunter’s initiative. For the second year, the wranglers are partnered with Gem & Jam Festival and sending you all the pretty colors straight from the horse’s mouth. Gem & Jam has some exciting new partnerships that demonstrate the festival’s evolution within the festival landscape across sustainability efforts, championing local talent, and a world-class vendor bazaar and workshop roundup. The festival is reuniting with the environmental festival organization Green Disco which helps events and festivals reach their sustainability goals. In 2023, Green Disco teamed up with Gem & Jam to introduce Eco-Bands – a 100% hemp, optional ticket add-on – and successfully removed over 300,000 lbs of CO2e from the atmosphere (tracked via Pachama). They are ramping up the Eco-Band program in 2024 to support Million Trees Project and the local organization Tucson Clean & Beautiful – ultimately hoping to plant 250 trees in the local area.

This year, Gem & Jam has partnered with local music & arts collectives idgaFNK and All The Homies to cultivate The Opal Stage which spotlights Arizona’s vast local talent. Paying homage to the Southwest music scene that played a major role in the development of Gem & Jam, the All The FNK’N Homies stage takeover will feature 65+ diverse musical acts.
