Elements Music & Arts Festival “26 Word Salad

Friends, Romans, countrymen, lend me your ears and don’t look now but you’ve dropped a button hole. Welcome back to Pocono Raceway at Long Pond, Pennsylvania as the delicate and impecable Wranglers Media has found her way back to Elements Music & Arts Festival for the fifth year of full-tilt, adult style entertainment. Maso the Iceman and Baitbucket Smith reunited for the first time in way too long (Chillicothe?) and it feels so good. Maso, straight from Billy in Bethel and the Phish MSG run, collided with Smith, who trailed in from Electric Forest, by way of FloydFest. It had been a busy season and this was the Mississippi blue ribbon, center cut of the summer festival run. The Small Dog Tour continued to roll with nary a speed bump in sight.  Welcome to the Elements Music & Arts Festival “26 Word Salad. Excision, ATLiens, Chris Lake, Subtroncs, Porter Robinson, LSDream, Daily Bread, Clonee, I Hate Models, Ganja White Knight, Dirtwire, Mersiv, Mickman, Sub Focus and so many more joined the throngs on artists, vendors, playboys and hard tails. And at the end of the day, Elements is built on renegades in the parking lots. Don’t worry, the whomp whomp will end at six in the morning.

The following notes have been taken directly from the pages of Maso the Wrinkled from the Lost Volumes of Small Hands-

Chapter Four, Poems Toungued by Imbeciles, Writ by Illiterates.
“It had been quite copacetic until the Iceman commeth that Monday and that guy wanted to make a deal with the him. Five biggie bags for 20$. Man only wanted to do three for $20. No deal was struck and the moon bounce king of New Jersey politely informed him to promptly exit the trampoline park forthright.  Let’s roll time, the long March back to Rock City, Uranus, but OK, let’s rewind it back to arriving at the fairgrounds of the Pocono. A gathering of the minds, and it was. It was a party and one of the part goers named Izzy (IZZY) was helping to decorate for said party so after which I was very nice and thoughtful when I hit him with the age old question. “Why is it the humans are genetically closer to mushrooms than mushrooms are to plants?” I think it is because we have mushrooms in our pants. I’m just saying let’s eat a mushroom and dance”.

“After getting a GED in credentials it was on over to Long Pond Road, right on gate three, right on turn three what turn four? And now it’s time to finish all the bug spray and sunblock if you got it through security. Yay, early entry. No shake and bake spider monkey and another scanner before I got the green light inside the venue.  Get this, my smart and we after the races. I make my present known so they know I’m there. The humor and style is unmistakaeble. Time to meet up with Magini at the Earth Stage, where it was the most popping I’ve seen. That treehouse yo. Like anybody was anybody with anybody there and yeah then after raging that for a little bit, we head on over to the Water Stage and that thing was looking good. It was the place to be. Oh my goodness gracious, what is Thursday night water stage on Thursday? Octopus moment to shine and shine it did. and so you know, maybe being a smart and lazy driver of invention, my bike and I get back out of the venue with the only bike left at the bike rack, but we go all the way around behind the other side of the track or something. I don’t know where BrocAleeya was camped last year but that’s where all the renegades stages were that was the place today.”

Fire: “The Bible Village that was it vibe and we’re out there and it’s late but it’s still dark and we’re on our way back. Me and the VIP twisted tea VIP. We run into this girl Maddy in a lemur onesie and we went on the side quest with this kid Levi denim pants, the legend of bagger pants. He doesn’t know where his car is and doesn’t know where his RV is. He wants to get the beer from the car to the RV so I can grant promises…”

Earth: We do fully follow him around the venue until we stop following him and start watching him and is tracking the edge of a swamp and we lose him behind some portal parties until we can see him when he’s going up the road to gate seven where we realized they had made him leave his car up there and good luck brother. Brother Levi, we never saw him again that weekend. We knew we were like, we had with that kid and also we’re gonna be like hallelujah. It’s good to see you brother. No, we didn’t but yeah, we didn’t see him ever again so thoughts and prayers for brother Levi jeans. The man, the myth, the legend. The only one to really wrangle the wranglers.

Did you ever wonder why you were still alive?  

Was her flower prolapsed? Yes, definitely she’d blown out her O-ring. It must have been the homemade tequila that caused the explosion. Was it because it had been stored in a used kitty litter bin? She was going to need attention.

“All weekend, except for Justina, the owner of trampoline town we were still with her. We met her at the Renegade Club set. Yeah she was a vibe so hard with her wagon with all the goodies. We went back with her on Friday night. Who am I kidding? It was Saturday morning. It’s always fun at trampoline time until it’s time to go and it was. So I took all of Saturday off. Saturday was just a scratch. I’m sure big Dirsel and the boys threw it down. Zeds Dead apparently was super mids. I heard this from his sister. She could have played it better herself and she told me that so it must be true. But she told me this as she’s trying a whopper for the first time so probably not true.

They say getting there is half the fun so is getting ready half the fun too?  In some gettin’ ready girls words “you feel like you’re getting ready two separate animals or kind of the same.” Yeah, listen to music and outfits. It exemplifies the best part of being a girl and just the best version of yourself as a woman. To get a woman and a girl to get deeper, getting ready like you’re kind of putting on a costume and a outfit and like kind of impersonating your festival self. The girls help you get ready doing that and everybody’s on like a different vibe and the themes of the outfits are different, so you’re helping everybody kinda go into their alter ego. The ancient ritual? A celebration of community. The get ready girl community is different than, let’s say any any other. It’s different. You’re helping everybody go into their ultra ego.

Water: “Sunday Sunday Sunday. The sun, the set. Let’s go! It’s on! It’s goin’ down at the Fire Stage. It’s lit Tipper did it. Pretty Lights on the Earth, then did it, then something, something did it again on the Earth and just the Earth is getting destroyed so I head over to Big Cheese and the boys but Earth owned the night and the weekend as they did in 23.  Catching that last little bit of Griz was a highlight and a treat. Blessings were made to the corporate overlords, for sure. It’s got electrolytes and and then we come to my moment if you will, to shine. That’s right, the White Knight from behind a phone booth, we got a girl and a girl got a dog. A girl got a dog in a wagon and a tripod and tarps and she’s going like she’s going a mile a minute. She is the track star. She’s a rock star. A little muscle. So, that’s where I come in.”    Ed. note- the white knight.

“The wagons loaded up with Daisy, the queen riding dirty in the wagon and yeah, yeah moe down  she hopped in the wagon with daisy wearing her doggy earmuffs and I pulled them both to close enough to her camp but not close enough for me to know where exactly she was camped.  Not her first rodeo.  She dabbed me down for my troubles.  So yeah, there was skydivers skyballin’, doing their thing, getting in for free.  The pyrotechnics were lit as were the art installations. Frick Frack is a festival within a festival.  Fun factory closed it down every damned time. They be grinding, burning through blades…Word salad brought to you by Sunoco and Mountain Dew.”  -the White Knight 2026
