Hola Wranglitos! The Whippersnap Music & Arts Festival returns for its fourth year, bringing four days of funk, jam, rock, and community to the oak-shaded grounds of Florida Sand Music Ranch from February 17-20, 2027. With national headliners, regional favorites, immersive art, and family-friendly programming, Whippersnap has grown into one of Florida’s most beloved boutique festivals.

2027 Lineup Highlights
Neal Francis — Chicago keyboardist, songwriter and bandleader whose piano-driven funk and soul take their cue from 1970s New Orleans: Allen Toussaint, Dr. John and The Meters, filtered through a modern rock lens.
Super Sonic Shorties — Drummer Nikki Glaspie’s all-star collective of women musicians, with members who’ve played with Beyoncé, Prince, Lizzo and Trey Anastasio Band. Whippersnap’s own Kanika Moore will be on vocals.
Polyrhythmics feat. Adryon de León — Seattle’s seven-piece psychedelic funk ensemble, built on tight horn lines and deep grooves, joined by former Orgone vocalist Adryon de León.
John “Papa” Gros — New Orleans piano and organ man who founded Papa Grows Funk, which held a 12-year Monday night residency at the Maple Leaf. He’s also played keys for George Porter Jr., Little Feat and The Funky Meters.
Funk You — Georgia’s dance-floor funk and jam favorites, blending heavy grooves, prog-leaning jams and big, clean vocals, back at Whippersnap for the first time since 2024.
Plus: COPE, Ajeva, Voodoo Visionary, Sqwerv, Who is Copious, MiniM, Holey Miss Moley, Souljam, Anthill Cinema and more.

“Every year we book the bands we’d want to see ourselves, and this is the best lineup we’ve ever had,” says Shane LaVigne, founder and festival director of Whippersnap. “Some of the baddest musicians out there right now are women. Super Sonic Shorties, Kanika Moore,
Adryon with Polyrhythmics. Having them on the same bill is something special, and we can’t wait for people to see it.”
Florida Sand Music Ranch gives you that old Florida camping feel without giving up the basics that matter.
