9 Flavored Bacon Recipes

Imagine the world’s best cheeseburger. Borderline ostentatious in girth, the bubbling cheddar drips over a full kilo of peanut-fed, char grilled, cow flesh. With all the fixins and a wax basket of crispy taters, it’s already perfect, but these days, with a multitude of choices available, why don’t we consider taking it to the edge? Sometimes it’s grilled mushrooms that put it over the fence. Maybe sauteed onions or jalapenos are what you need to put the baby in the basket, but a meat pie with a few pieces of bacon slapped on top of it is always a reasonable suggestion. Welcome to these 9 Flavored Bacon Recipes. Nothing will ever be the same.

If this is the way it’s going down, with pieces of crispy fat back hanging out from under the buttered roll, think flavored bacon. Huh? Que? What did he say? In a sea of terrible bacon ideas (bacon and chocolate, bacon and tequila, bacon and Hebrews?) this is the best one to come around the horn in some time.

Also known as candied bacon due to the brown sugar in the recipe, flavored bacon takes everything you love about planet Earth and makes it a little better. It’s so easy. Or maybe you need a refresher course.

Don’t forget about the bacon lattice. Previously thought to have been invented by the Prussians, bacon lattice art has been found on cave walls of Western Scotland. Anything that works with bacon can only be more impressive in lattice form. Braid your bacon as if you are making a tatami mat. Follow the recipe over your woven fat back and cut it up into sections after done. It really tops a cheeseburger or meatloaf. These are little tips that go a long way to making you more impressive. The wook wranglers are here to help.
